Social Media is not a fad.

Despite what you may have been told, Social Media is an evolution within our Communications history. The Internet, Social Media’s platform provider, has given us the ability to engulf all prior revolutions of communications; these transformations have been made up of five in total, with the Internet being the fifth key player. We are now able to read newspapers, communicate via phone, watch and listen to videos and music and view television as well as listen to the radio, each in their own right a huge revolution, however, with the Invention of the Internet, all prior innovations are now capable in the fifth revolution, the Internet.

This means that Social Media has evolved due to the need for community, for the sense of feeling important and for the ability to be heard. This makes the world smaller and easily reachable from one side of the globe to the other. Social Media has given businesses the opportunity to enhance their branding, connections and customer service initiatives, this is not going to disappear, instead, our need of unifying with one another will only intensify and as you will see in the following video, the facts verify the necessity for businesses to entwine their Internet Marketing efforts with Social Media.
