The brain is the center of our nervous system in all primitive animals, minus a few jellyfish and starfish; however, if you are a vertebrate creature, you in fact have a brain enclosed by a skull that is located in your head. Your brain is close to your primary sensory apparatus, which controls your vision, balance, taste, hearing and sense of smell (all-important features that develop your perception of the world).
Although scientists work at explaining the brain, it has deemed difficult due to its uniqueness to each individual, making it the most convoluted biological structure (and the most fascinating too.)
Even with the brains complexity, we share in development, evolution and genetics some commonalities, which scientists have been able to prove within their studies.
